Dear Captain Clopth

I apologise for not writing to you for a while but so much has happened that I have not had time to write. We finally arrived in Hafen but on the docks Ernst was approached by an initiate of a new religion hereabouts and accused of being a practitioner of the dark arts. This lead us to investigate and as part of that investigation Ernst went alone to their temple. He will not speak of what he found within except for the fact that they are con artists.

Once we had settled in at the Grenadier it became apparent that there was to be a fair in a few days. If you remember our reason for being in Hafen was to deliver some herbs to Lemuel. Unfortunately on first attempt it appeared he was out of town and would not be returning before the fete.

As a result I sought some infill work to keep my purse loaded whilst we awaited Lemuel's return. Here I met up with a dwarf called Detritus and we promptly went out and got drunk. I matched him drink for drink and I woke up first after we became unconscious. This unfortunately meant that I had missed my shift and my employment was terminated.

The next day was the first of the festival so using my last 10 crowns I entered the standing and snatch longbow competitions. I did fairly well but unfortunately did not win. But I have decided to become a Targeteer as this was only a small competition and the purse was 50 crowns per competition. If I am able to do this I hope that I will soon have enough money to purchase back my inn from that scoundrel of a grandfather of mine!!!

We are now heading up to The Moot, and the party has grown considerably. You remember Klaus the Elf, well he was lost overboard. Heinrich was ordered to return to Nuln. A replacement has been sent, a dubious character by the name of Mugger Blade. Detritus Copperside the dwarf has joined us as have two attractive young maidens, Charlotte, a druid, and Emmanuel a farmer.
