Background
I was born into a wealthy family, but began stealing as a young boy, for sport rather than gain. I never felt any love for my parents as they left my upbringing in the hands of their employees. My repeated thefts from other dignitaries eventually brought shame upon my family and they tried to discipline me by pushing me into weapon training, and banning me from leaving my home.

One night I ran away and joined a group of travellers. With them I learnt not just to steal for fun, but sometimes for survival. As I grew older, the criminal activities of those around me (not just petty theft) disgusted me and so one night I stole a short sword, a knife and some provisions and left to fend for myself.

I have no liking for religion or those who have an abundance of wealth. My, now sheltered, life makes me ignorant of Elves, Dwarves and the other races, and the customs, beliefs and ways of my fellow humans.

Although I insist on being left alone, I know I am not streetwise and so cling to those who I feel can help me. A substitute family? Of course not having much contact with women in my life has made me very shy, but curious, and I often brag of my conquests, though I am unknowledgeable in these ways!

I want to die a hero!
