Notes
From a post to the WFRP Mailing List...
In an attempt to make him (has anyone ever come across a female Troll Slayer? Would anyone want to!?) more playable in the group, I came up with the following:

He (Kaspar Oxlifter) is an Imperial dwarf from Middenheim, where his family runs, what was, a renowned smithing business, with several lucrative and high profile contracts. Through a combination of his actions and in-actions, he caused the near-total ruining of the family business.

Shunned by his family for dishonouring their good name, he took the only course that his distraught mind could come up with at the time, something that he had heard his mountain cousins did, and took the Troll Slayer oath. It was only afterwards that the enormity of this dawned on him, as Troll Slayers are rare in Imperial dwarf culture.

He decided to make his way to the Grey Mountains to combat the goblin and Chaos hordes in that region. On his way, the first of the Autumn storms forced him, and a small group of travelling humans, to shelter in a small town. Coincidently, while there they (he and the humans) became caught in the middle of two opposing cults, and the adventure began.

As an Imperial dwarf who has lived many years (from a human perspective) in Middenheim, he has an understanding of how to conduct himself within the Empire, although his orange hair gets a few reactions. While still seeking a glorious and honourable death in his continuing fight against Chaos, he tries not to put the other party members at risk, as he feels that should any of them die through his actions, it would further demean what little remains of his honour. He also realises that violence is not the answer to everything, and has actually thought, rather than fought his way out of a few sticky situations!

I realise that this is a 'watered-down' version of a Troll Slayer, but it's an attempt to make him work as part of the group.
