Background
What were my parents like?
My parents were ordinary members of the small elven community that made up my home village. One day
while I was away from the village hunting, it was attacked by a marauding group of Chaos Beastmen, who
killed everyone there, including my parents, and razed the buildings to the ground.
Where do I live?
I have no fixed abode of my own and spend my time travelling from town to town seeking employment.
When in town I stay either with my employer or in cheap rented accommodation, such as an inn.
What do I do?
I am a Judicial Champion. I travel those parts of the Old World where trial by combat is still recognised as
a legitimate legal procedure. In such trials, the accused is pitted against a Judicial Champion like myself. I
am very good at my job, simply because I have to be in order to survive. Sometimes I fight on behalf of a
wealthy or noble defendant. However, I am always on the lookout for opportunities to strike at the forces of
Chaos.
What do I want to achieve?
I am constantly striving to improve my combat abilities so that I can be as effective as possible whenever I
come up against Chaos in its many forms, and also because my current line of work demands it. I cannot
single-handedly drive back the forces of Chaos but I am willing to give it a damn good try to avenge the
destruction of my village and the deaths of my parents.
Religious belief
Prior to the destruction of my home village I, along with the other elves there, followed Liadriel. Following
the loss of the village I forsook Liadriel for the failure to protect those that I had loved. So I entered the
Old World godless and alone. It was not long before I took up arms in my fight against Chaos, and through
contact with other warriors I was introduced to Ulric, the god of battle, wolves and Winter. Ulric is a
distant, harsh and unforgiving god, who expects his followers to stand on their own two feet, putting their
faith in martial prowess. He despises weakness, cowardice and trickery, and expects his followers to always
take the direct approach to solving a problem. This fitted in perfectly with the way that I was, and still am,
living my life, and my own nature. The only symbol of my faith that I carry is the stylised wolf's head on
the pommel of my sword.
What have I done?
Initially when I arrived in the Old World, I trained as a bodyguard, and then hired out my services to earn
some money. I had not been in the Old World long before I hired on as a mercenary and took part in a
expedition on behalf of a wizard to retrieve some magical artefacts. My main reason for going along was
that the expedition was to the South, towards the Southern Chaos Wastes. Notable events during that
expedition were:
Almost as soon as I returned from the expedition, I was asked to join some others to undertake a quest for a lesser deity. As a reward for carrying out the quest we were given one reasonable wish. I asked for a suit of plate armour made from Mithril.
I returned from the quest and became a judicial champion so that I could earn some money and further improve my skills. I recently finished some training in the art of marksmanship, and I am looking for the opportunity to take part in another adventure. Which is how you find me now...
